Taiwan joins Belgian tourism organization

Taiwan recently became the 34th member of a Belgium-Luxembourg tourism organization. The Union of the Foreign Offices of Tourism in Belgium and to the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg is an organization formed by tourism representatives posted in the two European countries. Taiwan is one of the few non-European countries to obtain membership of the group.

台灣最近成為一比利時─盧森堡觀光組織的第34位會員。駐比利時及盧森堡大公國負責觀光的外交官聯合會，該組織由駐在該兩個歐洲國家的觀光代表所組成。

Taiwan's Tourism Bureau said Wednesday that this move will help Taiwan promote itself as a tourism destination to Europeans. Bureau figures show that around 200,000 tourists visited Taiwan from Europe last year. The number is small but has been growing in recent years.

週三台觀光局指出此一動作將有助於台灣向歐洲人推廣來台觀光。該局的數字表明去研有20萬歐洲人，雖少但近幾年均有所成長。
